I am a Big TV Costumer. At the time of selecting your service I thought that Reliance is always better in service when compared to Tata, as I am also using a Reliance post-paid mobile connection for last 4 Years. But now I do feel that you guys are not gone that matured with providing services for the DTH service.
My Details are as under.

The problem I am facing is that, we lost our smart card a few days back. You may find it strange but yes it happened. I was away from town and my younger sister carried the smart card to one of your dealers to get it recharged and misplaced it somewhere. Now we made complaint for the same at your costumer care help line number. It happened somewhere around 20th of Jan 2009.
Different feedback from Customer care to Ravi:
1. Initially we were told that your engineer will visit us with a new smart card, but nothing happened for 2 days.
2. Then we were told that we need to buy a new smart card from your dealer and tell your guys the number of the smart card and then it would be activated.
3. We visited your dealer but he refused to get it done this way. He straight away said that if the service doesn’t get activated this way, he won’t be responsible for the smart card.
4. We called the customer care number again, we were again told that an engineer would visit us, but nothing happened for few more days.
5. Later some other day, we were told that we need to pay for the smart card first. The payment is to be made in the form of recharge of Rs. 650. Although a few DTH services are available in the market which give you started up in just Rs 500 and also give you subscription of 3 months free, I never thought of deviating from Reliance. I recharged my account.
6. Next day I get a call from your local dealer saying that he needs to check the card for 2 days before he can deliver it to us. Now the third day he is not even taking our call.
7. Finally today I again called up your CC number, and again a new complaint number was given to me, and I was told that some one would attend my problem soon. But nothing happened.
8. I am given a lots of complaint number (like 86912941,8745995,87655791 etc) but I was never given a solution.
9. Now its almost 13 days gone, but we are still not sure whether the services would get restored of not.
10. I started up your service by paying Rs 2490. In spite of not having the smart card with me I recharged my account for Rs 800 in advance. Now I do feel that I have blocked even these Rs 800 of mine, where as I could have approached some other DTH service provider with using this amount.
I am really not sure of whether this mail of mine would help me restore my services, but I did it to turn this matter in words.

Note: I hope that Big TV people will solve this problem. Big TV people should not forget that he is a “Reliance fan.” Reliance Big TV can’t afford to lose loyal customers like him. I don’t know why Big TV customer care people are creating big mess in solving such simple problems. Something is wrong with Big TV customer care service.

i am desperately looking for taking up a DTH connection my choice was Big TV now upon going through your trauma i am changing plans

We do not want to continue with BIG TV anymore.
Within 2 months of purchase, all channels are blocked and no one is resolving it. Customer care people say their servers are down cant take the complaint now call after some time. This has happened many times. I paid for the 6 months and also extra for addtional channels while purchasing.
Its been more than 15 days and nothing seems to be working. So I have decided to dump the Big tv set top box go for Sun DTH or any other.
Many friends were about to go for Big tv and I stopped them.
So no doubt it will also come in blogs very soon. And it is.

As the days pass by I continue to think that I probably had made the biggest blunder in my entire life by purchasing your services because a company managed by the biggest corporate fraudster in India, Mr. Anil Ambani, could not be much better.
The so called "relocation" was initiated on the 30th of May 2009 and finally completed on 13th of July 2009 after lots of haggling over the phone and numerous lies and false promises. Sbsequently, the account was charged the relocation fee plus the rental for the entire time I did not get my service. After, the relocation started another round of phone calls which are stll going on and now I am being informed that it was actually my fault that the installation was delayed and I am not entitled to get a refund of the service charges for that 1.5 months of service which I did not receive. Furthermore, on the 13th of July according to your superior customer service people (who don't even understand a single word of their regional language and dont even know how to speak to a customer) my account was refunded an amount of Rs.266 which is roughly 1 month's service charges, which incidentally I never got and my service is still inactive and the account has been suspended because of a negative balance of -Rs.131.60. It does not require to be an Einstein to calculate that if the account was refunded the aforesaid amount, the balance cannot be in a negative state within 17 days. I am literally fedup of calling your company and I am now giving you 48 hours to sort this mess out or else I am going to drag Mr.Ambani and the entire Reliance Communication alongwith BigTv to consumer court.
Tall claims about your company being the "Best Digital TV Service" or keeping the "Manual of Practise" in your website does not really make you a big company

This is my latest blast to those SOB's. They are biggest frauds in the market right now and their only motto is to somehow take the customer's money and then leave them hanging high and dry. I strongly advise everybody who can read this post to stay away from these fraudsters.
